Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Parental fee

I have court today to appeal the decision of the county to charge me for a parental fee based on a 40 hour work week that didn't exist at the time of their decision and since their decision, i lost my job.

I was the vicitm of the crime that put her in the custody of corrections

What is the chance I will at least get the fee reduced if not removed?

Re: Parental fee

Your chance of obtaining relief on the parental fee matter is greatest at the earliest stages of your appeal. What generally happens is that you appeal the DHS decision to an administrative law judge. That decision is generally accorded great deference by the district courts.

You sound like you probably have a good case. You will want to contact an attorney to determine your next move.
