Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota
response to allegation in marriage petition
When you are RESPONDING to AND DENYING an allegation in a dissolution of marriage petition, is it ok to add a short sentence of clarity to that particular allegation? or simply deny and move on to the next point?

Re: response to allegation in marriage petition
It certainly acceptable to offer more than an admission or denial. In some cases, it is wise to do so. In others, not wise at all. Certainly responses to pleadings can be used as evidence sand argument in subsequent court proceedings and, if done improperly, can impair your case.
