Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota
rights of unmarried fathers
Please help! What rights does a father have if he is not married to the child's mother and they separate? Does he have any at all?

Re: rights of unmarried fathers
Under Minnesota law, an unmarried woman is the sole legal and sole physical custody of her child. Even if the father signed a Recognition of Parentage, the father has no enforceable rights until he goes to court.

Yes Fathers have rights, but they have to enforce them in court to do any good. Contact me and I can provide you whatever information you need.
