Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Shared custody and child support

I was custodial parent of two, my daughter moved to her father's. Child support was stopped. He is remarried and lives very comfortably. He does alot of work for cash so his income on paper matches mine and his wife makes good money. I struggle to make ends meet. What can I do to get child support for the child I am raising?

Re: Shared custody and child support

Child support in a split physical custody situation based on Minnesota child suport guidelines would offset your onbligation against your ex's. If you have similar incomes, those obligations would offset.

Your ex's spouse's income cannot be considered.
