if you sign over all of your rights to a child, do you have to pay child support?

You cannot simply "sign your childd over" to another parent. Courts are very reluctant to terminate parental rights and will not do so unless a determination is made that it is best for the child. It will not occur simply because a parent wishes to avoid a child support obligation.

If parental rights are terminated, any prosepctive child support obligation is terminated.
