Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Ex sister-in-law cut my daughter's hair off!

My ex sister-in-law, cut my daughter's hair off on a Father's Day get together last week! I did not give permission or consent, and neither did my 7 yr old daughter, Sarah. Sarah had long blonde hair and it was all cut off on a whim. Can I file a small claims court action and how much should I seek in damages? I have joint with ex-husband; if he claims that he gave consent, can I still seek damages? Thanks. Charlotte

There is no viable lawsuit for cutting a child's hair. That is particularly true if the other parent will indicate that they gave their consent.
