my son needs help from a lawyer to answer questions he has about getting help with a divorce. he is on disability and public assistance. his main concern is his three children, now in his custody.

If he does not have the resources to hire an attorney, he can apply for legal aid, depending on where he lives, and what the issues in his case will involve. Legal aid services are not available everywhere, and even when they are available, might be limited to cases in which custody will not be contested, for example.
