Changes in parenting tijme must be made by a court order. A court would consider an order if there has been a change since the last order that is substantial. The increased maturity of the child may certainly be a compelling factor.

In its analysis, the court will consider all factors relevant to parenting time and determine what schedule is in the best interests of the child. At the age of 16, Judges are aware that children often vote with their feet and, as a result, their desires are given great consideration as they mature.
