Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

truancy

My daughter has missed 15 days of school this year. She suffers from migraines and all but three of those days have been excused by the doctor. Since her medication was changed in mid-December she has not missed any days of school. We were just served a summons to appear in court on Feb. 5 for an ''Admit/Deny Hearing''. We need some advice on what to do.

Re: truancy

Whether you admit or deny at the hearing on February 5 depends, of course, on what the specific charges or allegations are. Either way, you appear to be in good standing on the issue, because a primary remedy that the moving party would be seeking (better school attendance) is already in the works.
