Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Visitation

I wanted to know if I could go to court by my self. I was also wandering what I would basicly have to do before I start it. Because I don't really know if I would understand everything. I don't want to hire a lawyer.

Re: Visitation

Abraham Lincoln said: "He who represents himself has a fool for a client." My advice always is: Don't even go near a courthouse without a lawyer.

About ten years ago I myself tried representing myself in a custody-visitation-child support matter. I quickly found out that it was a mistake. Even though I am a lawyer, representing myself was a bad idea.

Lots of people do it, but it's usually a mistake. Good luck.
