Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota
will my commissions be factored into child support payments if my base/regular salary is over the $15,000 per month maximum on child support threshold?

Hello. Your question should be directed to your attorney. If you do not have an attorney, please do confer privately with her/him and the attorney will be happy to provide you with detailed legal advice for your personal situation and needs. Some attorneys are available seven days for emergency legal needs. Many attorneys will confer initially at no charge. Then, if legal work is performed, some attorneys will provide a reduced fee for financial hardship. Some attorneys may also assist you in a limited scope manner to conserve legal costs. All the best.

Yes. Under Minnesota child support guidelines, both commissions and bonuses may be considered in a calculation of child support. How they are considered may depend on the nature of the payment and the reliability of it.
