Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I am just wondering how the percentage of child support would be divided up if you had 2 kids with the first mom and then one kid with 3 other moms?

You would have to apply the child support guidelines independently for each set of children. THe child support guidelines consider the income of each parent, the amount of parenting time, and whether there are other non-joint children. In other words, it is not a clear percentage or formula.

I agree with counsel. Child support needs to be split in particular because it's based on income of the parents of those particular children and the number of joint children between each couple.

Hello. The answer is not black-white. An attorney can assist you with your questions. Know that it is possible for child support to 'deviate' ('depart') either upward or downward from the Minnesota Child Support Guidelines in certain circumstances. Again, please contact an attorney for assistance with your personal needs and concerns. Some attorneys are available seven days for emergency legal needs. Many attorneys will confer initially at no charge. Then, if legal work is performed, some attorneys will provide a reduced fee for financial hardship. Some attorneys may also assist you in limited scope manner to conserve legal costs. All the best.
