I can't tell you exactly what will happen; but if she already had community service ordered, I would be surprised if this time she isn't given some time in the juvenile jail. I would also expect that she would lose her license plates on the car she was driving. Besides time in jail, she will probably be put on home monitoring for a while. This is where they use a black box to administer a breath test several times a day over a phone line. The machine can also take a picture, so they know it's her.

Your daughter's license will be gone for a long time. She must have already been driving without a license when she had the second offense. So besides DWI and underage drinking, she will have a driving after revocation charge. She's in serious trouble.

I suggest that you should be asking: How did this happen again so soon? and what's going to prevent it from happening again? The answer could be that she needs an alcohol treatment program.

Even though she is a juvenile, these offenses will go on her adult driving record and follow her around the rest of her life. I keep getting calls from folks who want their DWI record expunged - offenses from years ago. I have to say that I know of no judge who would issue such an order. No matter how embarassing it is or how it interferes with your career, these offenses stay there. That is beyond a doubt the worst part of it.
