Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Minnesota
Who should I use?
I took my car to get its oil changed and later when I was driving my car broke down on the interstate so I had to leave it in a parking lot tell my friend could help me figure out what was wrong with it. We then noticed that there was no oil in the car so We went to Walmart and bought oil so I could make it home in 2 miles time we lost 5 qts of oil so I had it towed back to Goodyear and they said it was because of the oil pressure switch and they replaced it. I get in the car and THE leak stopped but now my car wont run correctly They look at it the next day and said the engine is seized and its my fault. I spoke with many mechanics and they all sid it is impossible to loose that much oil from the switch and it could only happen from a bad filter ring put on or they didnt tighten the drain plug. The I was at work and one of the mechanics came into my store in front of witnesses and said he looked at my car when it came in and the manager asked him what he thought he said they clearly owe me a new engine then she made him work on another car and someone else worked on mine. He was also told by the manager to stay out of the mall where I work and avoid me at all costs. I live over 20 min from work and I work alone so I cant be witho

Re: Who should I use?
You are going to need to issue a Demand Letter for cost of engine replacement (do you have an estimate?) You should engage counsel and then litigate if they don't pay up. You will need testimony of your mechanic friend and may need to subpoena shop employee re: drain plug or filter ring issue.
