Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Minnesota
Must a case be filed in MN to issue a subpoena? I was subpoenaed by a MN attorney [working for an IL attorney] BUT the court case is in IL.

An Illinois subpoena is not valid in Minnesota unless it is filed in Minnesota to acquire a reciprocal order (subpoena). That appears to be what occurred in your case. As a result, it would be a valid subpoena.
