Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Minnesota
Use of Deposition
I would like to know if a deposition that was given in a federal court action, which dismissed the federal claims and left open the state statue claims, can be used for the state statue claims that were moved to state court?

Re: Use of Deposition
I need more details to answer completely, but generally, if it was a civil action, and there was no protective order in place, yes, a transcript of a sworn deposition could be used in an ancillary proceeding.
