Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Minnesota
Filing of a formal complaint re: a co-worker
How do I know that the issues I was most concerned about were addressed in the complaint? Should I have looked at or signed some final draft and do I have the right to request a copy of my complaint filed? And what are my options when this business cannot find paperwork regarding the complaint(filed apprx 2 yrs ago)?

Everyone has a right to a copy of their personnel file according to Minnesota statute and your complaint should have been retained in your file. However, at the present time, I cannot think of any sanctions that the business may incur for failing to place your complaint in your file. Feel free to consult another employment law attorney who may have had experience with regard to that issue. Whatever the case, it is always important to keep copies whenever possible...
