Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Minnesota
settlement with prejudice
if you settle a case with or without prejudice, does that mean you can not bring any possible future action against the attorney for unethical behavior involving the settled case? Can a lawyer be sued for unethical behavior, ie submitting damaging interrogatory answers without telling you and holding papers to be filed until the day due and demand more money?

Re: settlement with prejudice
I would need to review the details, but settlement with a PARTY does not preclude bringing a complaint against the attorney.
Re: settlement with prejudice
Settlement generally does not restrict your options re non-parties. There are not enough facts to determine whether an attorney should or could be persued civily or with Board of Professional Responsibility.
