Legal Question in Health Care Law in Minnesota
past due medical bill
my son has a medical billl that is past due in the amount of 1769.00 from a MRI. He has not worked in over 3 years full time, has no money to pay and now they sent a summons and complaint to rule 4.05 of the MN rules of civil procedure by mail. Should he sign this? What does this mean?

Re: past due medical bill
It means your son has been sued on the debt. He needs to talk to an attorney to determine if he has a defense to the claim, and if not, what he should do about the matter.
Good luck.

Contact local legal aid hot line to ask specifically, because there may be penalties for failing to acknowledge service of process.
