Legal Question in Immigration Law in Minnesota
I am 18 and recieved a fare evasion ticket in Minneapolis because i was unfamiliar with the area and was told to just get on the train and pay at the next stop. I am about 3 months from becoming a fully legal resident and then citizen. Will this ticket affect my immigration status and what should I do in court. I know ignorance is no excuse but I have held a clean record up until now. Is there anything I can do?

Hello:
It may, but I would have to see the statutory language of the conviction.
