Legal Question in Immigration Law in Minnesota
I'm going to a college as an international student with F1 visa. I participated in a medical research as a subject and received $1200 compensation. Recently, I recieved 1099 MISC form from the medical research company and the $1200 was listed as "other income". Is it considered an unauthorized employment? Will I lose F1 students' rights, such as eligibility to apply for OPT or going to Grad School? What should I do to avoid cancellation of my F1 status

Hello:
That would depend on what exactly was done. It may be possible also to get status reinstated.
