Legal Question in Immigration Law in Minnesota

Immigration.

I am a 26 year old male living in the U.S.A for the pass 19 years. last weekend i was detained by i.n.s officer at my citys international airport whyle picking up a friend.

At this time i was made aware of the fact that i am an illegal immigrant to the U.S.A this is a fact that i was not aware of because i was given a green card and also a social security number by my parents without my knowledge that they are not official papers. i have attended school also have a drivers licence have a job. pay tax and also am the parent of a 3 year old boy. i am currently employed and do not receive any kind of government aid, or have any kind of criminal background.

I was released the same day and also informed that i have to make a court apearance.

what should my next step be is my question? what should i expect to hear in court.?

Re: Immigration.

Have you been served with a Notice to Appear yet? This is the form that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) serves explaining why they are trying to remove (deport) you from the country. There are various forms of relief from being deported from the US - however, it truly depends on the facts in your case and also on what basis ICE is trying to remove you. It's very important that you consult with an attorney who has experience representing individuals in immigration court.
