Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Minnesota

Bottle Configuration currently trademarked

I have an idea to modify the use of an existing bottle that currently has the claim ''Bottle configuration is a trademark of (company name here)'' What exactly does this mean? I want to sell the idea to use this trademarked bottle to hold something different than what it currently does. I don't know what they next steps would be as far as patenting, trademarking, etc. Thank you!

Re: Bottle Configuration currently trademarked

I would need more info to advise you, but essentially, the design or structure of the bottle (e.g.Coca-Cola bottle-traditional) is so connected with the product, that its shape etc. is part of the product's Trademark.

Call or e=mail for more assistance.

It is unlikely they would do it, but the proper legal transaction for what you propose would be to license the design etc. for your product, but don't get your hopes up.
