Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota
Im a conceal and carry permit holder, I work for a local gym. I would store my pistol in a locked drawer in back room. There are no signs on door to ban, my general manger has wittnessed me storing it and said nothing. Few months later we had disagreement and he was mad with me. Today he quit. My director brought this to my attention that he may be trying to get me fired for the gun. So, do i need to be worried about losing my job? If I lose my job could I sue for wrongful termination? (i was told today the gym does ban guns) no signs posted, no manager correction until he quit and got mad with me.......... Please help

Generally, an employer can terminate an employee for any reason or even no reason. As an employee, you are not in the same position as a gym member. So the requirements for banning guns may not be applicable to you (i.e. signage). If you were off duty you could argue that you could carry the gun, but again see my first line. I am not familiar with the conceal and carry law, but I would doubt that it would give you a cause of action for wrongful termination.
