Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota
Contract labor obligation?
If a dance studio hires a teacher, who signs a contract that she will work for the next year (specific date written in the contract), then the teacher works a few days (5 days) and quits coming to work without calling or answering calls, leaving the dance studio in the lurch without a teacher for the classes that the teacher was SUPPOSED to teach.....Is the dance studio obligated to pay the teacher for the time she was there? Is she legally bound to teach for the time on the contract?
