Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota
Employer against second job.
I am employed by a local bank full time, but i have a part time job on the weekends with a local restaurant to make some extra money to help with bills, married with three children and one parent is a stay at home careperson for the children. Recently my employer, the president of the bank, called me into his office to pressure me to leave my other job. Citing that it made him look bad for me having a second job! He also started quoting our checking account and our spending, which means he has been looking at our account without reason other than his own curiosity, that can't be legal either. At this time i am still working both jobs but worried i might be fired and that he will make up some excuse to fire me. What are my legal rights here and what can i do?
