Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota

Can I be forced to choose?

At my work, there is a kitchen and a bar. I have been working in the kitchen for almost two years, and have now been added to the bar schedule. The kitchen manager told me that I could not work in both the bar and the kitchen that I had to choose one or the other(the bar manager had approved to me working both before). I was told that I could have other jobs, and that wasn't a problem; however, now that I am about to start in the bar, that doesn't count. Is it legal for him to make me choose between the bar and the kitchen?
