Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota

I have had legal problems in the past when I lived in Kansas. I now live in Minnesota. When I got my job here in Minnesota, I did not fill out a application nor was I asked about my past history.

My ex-husbands wife took it upon herself to call my employer and tell them all about my past. My employer is o.k. with my past and I did not lose my job over it, but how can I prevent her from calling other people and doing this again.

Is she telling the truth?

If so there is nothing you can do other than have an attorney send a Cease & Desist letter, assuming the facts are so private so as to be an invasion of privacy.
