Mandatory employment purchase
Can an employeer legally make an employee purchase and expensive product as part of their uniform out of their own pocket, or is this something the company should provide since it is mandatory? We are required to buy a Plolar heart-rate monitor at cost which is still an expense to the employee. Uniforms are provide for free, so wouldn't the heart-rate monitor also be prvided for free if it is required??
