Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota

Paycheck

The owner of the company I work for let me know last week that he would probably have to lay me off. I talked to him and asked how long he thought he would be able to pay me and was told worse case, the end of the year. Then on Friday evening, I found out the paycheck I received on 10/31/08 was taken out of my bank account and returned for insufficient funds. My employer asked me on Monday if the check had bounced and when I said it had, he said he was sorry but he hasn't said one word about paying me since and Friday, 11/14/08 is my next payday. I know I need to go in and talk to him again to find out when he plans on paying me but at this point, I have NO money coming in and I need to be paid. If he can't pay me by Friday, what can I do?
