Slander/Libel

I work at a Catholic Parish and someone has accused me of sexual activity on parish property. This has caused the loss of my job. Am I eligible to file slander charges against the person who made the accusation. This did not happen and there is absolutely no proof that it did.

Yes,you can sue for slander. You can also claim Unemployment Benefits.

You may also be able to sue for wrongful termination.
