Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota
I was terminated from my employment on Jan. 18th, 2011. I was in management so they did not have to give me reason, but they want me to sign a settlement agreement, which as far as I understand is to not sue them. My question is if I sign an agreement like this does it prohibit me from unemployment benefits?

You should have an experienced Business Attorney review the agreement and your rights in view of your termination to determine if you are waiving any important claims, and to determine if your termination will cut off your right to Unemployment Benefits.
