Vacation pay due

January 1,2006 I was owed two weeks paid vacation, I was laid off in March 2006 temporarily.Some hours here and there. In June I put in for vacation pay and was denied and permanently laid off two weeks later, with no vacation pay. Can they do this?

Are you in a union? Written contract of employment or employee handbook?
