Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Minnesota
Use of digital photos as proof in a court of law
We were considering purchacing a digital camera for use in our rental property business but need to know if they are admisable in concilliation court as evidence to support a case against a tenant should they damage or otherwise abuse our property. We were wondering because a family member realtor indicated to us that they were having problems with admissability of them as they may be altered and such. If they aren't admissable what photos are? As all have today, with the technology, the ability to be altered.

Yes, as long as the witness can testify that the photos accurately reflect what is depicted.
