Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Minnesota

Kickin roommate out

If I need to can I do this and have the police come and escorate him out? He is not on the lease and he does have stuff there and has not ever changed his address to my house.

Re: Kickin roommate out

The sheriff will not assist you without a writ of recovery ordering them to do so, which can only be obtained through a court eviction action. Once you allow the person to live there, they have established possessory rights and must be evicted if you want to force them to leave. You can email me directly if you have further questions regarding the eviction process.
