Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Minnesota

Does landlord have right to cancel lease because she is selling house

I have a room mate and we both signed a twelve month lease with the owner of the townhome we currently reside in. Barely three months into the term and landlord is dropping hints that she wants to sell townhome but will give us sixty days notice before we have to move out. I protested and informed her that was un-acceptable, I intended to reside there for the entire term of twelve months and if she were to sell, the new owner would have to be assigned the lease and honor it. There is no special clauses in lease as far as I can tell. What is standard in this situation?

The lease should be reviewed for an attornment clause, but if the property was sold, the new owner could continue under the lease.
