Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Minnesota
left or abandoned property
I let my neighbor store 7 tractors plus 10 more pieces of farm implements. He said he would remove it in 6 months. It has been 4 years now and I told him I want it all out of here by June 1st, 2007. I sent him an email to that effect in the beginning of April and he responded like he always does but nothing ever happens. Judging on his progress, he will not get anything out of here. What is my recourse? Charge rent? Is the property mine? Thanks.

What was your agreement re: storage fees per month or year?
In Writing?
What is value of equipment?
You may need to assert a storage lien per statute and follow the Notice and Sale procedure.
