Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Minnesota

I have property lease question. My daughter signed a lease for off campus housing at The Arch of Columbia, Missouri. However she is unable to return to the university for medical reasons. She will be on a smaller campus close to home in Minnesota.
In the first place she forgot to initial one page of the lease document, so the lease is invomplete? Is it still binding.
We did let them know in May that she will not be returning. They said she has to get a replacement renter to take over her lease or pay the rent. She has tried everything to get someone but is unable to get anyone. And she cannot go back there.
What do we do?

Would need to review lease but you will likely pay rent damages until rrplacement tenant found
