Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Minnesota

Can I prosecute my landloard for giving me a key to my room that I was led to believe was the only key to my room, but later found out all the room keys for all roomates in the house were the same? The result was that a fellow untrustworthy roomate unlocked my door with her own key and stold items out of my room, then relocked my door when she was done. Can I prosecute my roomate?

You can't prosecute anyone.

1) You can make a police report about the roommate and the State of Minnesota might then prosecute her. The landlord is not going to be criminally responsible for your thief roommate.

2) You could attempt to sue your landlord, but it would be difficult to prove responsibility for the theft, and from your question it doesn't appear the landlord told you anything specifically about the keys.

I would file are police report about the roommate.
