Legal Question in Military Law in Minnesota
Paternity suit
My niece had baby in Nov. The man is in the Army. He married another women before deployment to Iraq. He did not do child care papers before left. He had leave recently visited baby for 1/2 hr -his family had questioned paternity- he did test while on leave test said 99.9% yes- Baby's father returned to Iraq niece received letter from some officer in Alaska (was stationed there before) saying baby's father cannot be bothered with this till he returns in Nov. She is left with no child care and has not ever recieved any. Does this sound right??

Re: Paternity suit
It is wrong that the Soldier is not supporting the child. You should probably have an attorney write a letter to the Soldier's Commander requesting support.
