Legal Question in Personal Injury in Minnesota
I found shards of glass in my soda can. What do I do next?
I just got back from the ER after finding 2 shards of glass in my soda can. I opened a can of soda from my fridge went to sit down and read before going out. After a couple of drinks I noticed something between my teeth. when i brought it to the front my mouth it cut my tongue. When i pulled it out, it was a piece of glass. After emptying the rest of the contents of the can into a container i found another shard. The night nurse highly recommended going to the ER, which I did. I need to know whats steps I should take now.
To answer the questions the doctor asked.
1. I was at home, so there was no chance of someone putting it in my drink. (I opened the can myself)
2. The can was sealed and came straight from my fridge.
3. I was drinking straight from the can.
4. The can was aluminum
5. I still have the can and the glass

Re: I found shards of glass in my soda can. What do I do next?
Keep all of the proof such as the can and the glass. Take digital photographs of the can and the shards next to identifying objects such as a coin or a ruler. In cases like this you have the option of negotiating directly with the manufacturer or you can hire an attorney to help you negotiate in this matter. If you would like, please contact me as I have experience in these types of cases. Thank you, and I am sorry that you experienced this incident.
