Legal Question in Personal Injury in Minnesota

personel enjury

slipped on ice and landed on shoulder and side of face about 65 hrs ago. did not report to station where was putting gas in car - just got up, finished and drove off after paying at pump. Now injuries are worse than had thought at time. What if anything should I do now to recoup for at least my pain and suffering and warn others of potential danger at that Shell Gas Station. Go tell them, the police, what about the fact that my work is ''driving'' and wont be able to do that for what am told will be some time due to the fact can't move upper arm? Please advise as I am over extended financialy and depend on that income from driving job to get by. My main source of income is my military retirement and social security and that goes for house payment and debts. Thanks in advance for your prompt reply

Re: personel enjury

Thank you for your question.

First, you should promptly contact an attorney, and the station should be notified of the accident. The longer time passes without action, the more difficult it will be to establish the facts, and the more difficult it will be to establish a connection between your accident and your injuries.

One of the things that needs to be done immediately is to investigate the station before the ice melts (which may be difficult now), and try to document the condition that caused you to fall.

Second, your injuries need to be documented soon, presumably by a doctor. The longer you wait before having your injuries evaluated, the more difficult it will be to prove that they were caused by this fall.

You may contact me if you have further questions or need assistance. My contact information is below. The lawyers associated with my office have many years of experience in cases like yours and can provide immediate assistance.

Thank you for your question.
