Legal Question in Product Liability in Minnesota

I am a wedding planner and want to sell a ''wedding in a box''. The box would consist of wedding items like champaign glasses, guest book, etc. Can I go to the store and purchase everything for the box? Do I have to consult the manufacturer or each product first? Do I have to actually make each product myself? Should I try to buy generics instead?
