Legal Question in Product Liability in Minnesota
i purchased an HP Notebook computer in 2007 had it less than 1 yr and had to have it replaced. called hp and got them to fix the issue by sending me a replacement computer according to thier records it was in feb of 2008. now i am having problems yet again with this hp and they tell me it out of warranty. i called them at 2:30 am this morning and talked to a supervisor and he told me they could replace the notebook for free now today i called and talked to a lady by the name of susan and was told i would have to pay for repair of notebook. i feel a laptop should last longer than1 yr. what kind of legal action can i take to get this resolved if any please let me know anything you could give me would be great thanks and have a great day.

The answer depends on your warranty.l If you are wiithin the warranty period, they must repair or replace the computer. If it is outside of the warranty period, there is no obligation. You always have the option to purchase an extended warranty at any time before the original warranty expires.
