My sister was recently divorced. She has signed a quik claim deed to the house so her name is no longer on the title. Her ex is not making mortgage payments on the house. Mt sisters name is on the mortgage and she is concerned that this house will go into forclosure. She would like to know how she can get her name off the mortgage and into ex-husbands name so her credit report in not hosed. Can she legaly make him refinance or is there another way.

She should go back and talk to her divorce attorney. Depending on how the divorce decree was written she MAY have some rights. Her attorney may have included some language in the divorce decree that would help her now. Honestly, however, most of the time there is nothing to be done about this once she has signed the quit-claim deed.
