Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Minnesota

Power of Attorney w/o Notery Public Signature & stamp

I was wondering if a Limited Power of Attorney document for a retail purchase contract is legal if it has not been Nortised when I signed the paper. the copy was dated 17 April 2000. I just found this out and was wondering what my recourse is if any. If there is any how should I proceed with this matter. Thank you!!

Re: Power of Attorney w/o Notery Public Signature & stamp

Any power of attorney I ever heard of had to be notarized. If you signed it in front of a notary, the notary could affix his or her seal later. But if it was not signed in front of a notary, it would in my opinion be invalid.

How should you proceed? That depends on what the problem is. If this is a contract you like and want to stick with, that's one thing. If you want out of the contract, that's another.

Better consult with a real lawyer.
