my boyfriend and i purchased a home 15 years ago. because of my credit my name is not on the mortgage and i was not smart enough at the time to put my name on the title. throughout the 15 years we have split the house payment and are now splitting up. do i have any rights to the home?

Re: real estate

It is not likely.

First, it is presumed that the titled owner is the equitable owner of the home. To rebut that presumption, you would have to show that there was an contract, an agreement that you purchased the home together with the intent to share in its equity.

Your case hinges on the credibility of the testimony.
