If a licensed realtor signs a purchase agreement for a home that was listed on MLS and intends to occupy for his/her own personal use are they entitled to a commision on the transaction?

Depends on the exact terms of the listing agreement. I suggest you have the listing agreement reviewed by an attorney. I suspect the advice will be that it doesn't make any differnce who the buyer is as long as it's a buyer.
