Am I responsible

I sold my house to a person 3 years ago. they did not have any inspections. there was a short in some wiring in the house and they are wanting me to pay to have it fixed. I am responsible for this?

This depends on whether they can prove that you made a misrepresentation to them. What does the property condition report say about electrical work? Did you do/have work done without a permit and inspection? I suggest you (1) notify any insurance company from which you have a policy that might provide coverage, and (2) have a lawyer get up to speed on the details and advise you on how to respond to the buyer.
