Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Minnesota
My son,Scott, a few years ago deeded his property over to his friend John in hopes to save his property from a possible law suit, which never happened. John intended to deed it back to Scott after the threat was over. In the meantime John passed away. He did leave a will, but the property was not mentioned as he had planned to deed it back to Scott. Now Scott would like to get the property back in his name. How will he need to do this? Sincerely, Judy Parrish

He will have to convince the "executor" of John's estate to deed the property back to him, and if that cannot be done he will have to bring a lawsuit.
